The actions centred around gathering information were as follows:

1. The Balkan & Black Sea Branch (BBSB) have identified the local issue of the need for the production of more appropriate (best practice) design standards. The workshop participants understood the issue and were keen to support a remediation plan.

Action - BBSB to produce a local action plan and define UK support required.

2. The potential for EU funding and support was discussed. It was agreed that further information was required in this area.

Action - A small team to act as a working group to identify appropriate EU contacts and funding to support the work of organisations like the Guild. Working group to be Keith Mole, John Tiratsoo and Stuart Thomas.

3. The workshop understood there are many pipeline related issues and opportunities and was most enthusiastic to support BBSB wherever required. However, more detailed information on opportunities, issues and funding routes was essential.

Action - BBSB to produce a 'Local Issues' Plan, identifying the issues, the decision makers and funding routes where possible. The workshop was also keen for an 'early warning' system for tenders to be issued.

4. Further Developments- it was agreed that the workshop had been useful and participants were keen to meet again to follow up on the actions. The date of the next meeting will be on Tuesday 20th September 2005 at 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. at the Guild's offices.
